Alpine Canvas – Kashmir’s Great Lakes in Monsoon Mist

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar – Mist & Mughal Echoes

• Airport pickup and welcome kahwa

• Check-in to houseboat or boutique hotel

• Shikara ride on Dal/Nigeen Lake

• Trek briefing and gear check

• Overnight in Srinagar

Day 2: Drive to Sonamarg – Trek to Nichnai (Altitude ~11,500 ft)

• Early morning drive to Sonamarg (3 hrs)

• Trek begins: 9 km through pine forests and meadows

• Camp near Nichnai stream, surrounded by misty ridgelines

• Dinner under monsoon skies

Day 3: Nichnai to Vishansar via Nichnai Pass (~12,000 ft)

• Cross Nichnai Pass with panoramic views

• Descend into Vishansar Valley

• Camp beside Vishansar Lake, shimmering in monsoon mist

• Optional walk to Kishansar Lake

Day 4: Vishansar to Gadsar via Gadsar Pass (~13,800 ft)

• Trek through high-altitude meadows and glacier-fed streams

• Cross Gadsar Pass, the highest point of the trek

• Reach Gadsar Lake, known for its turquoise hue

• Camp beside the lake with bonfire and rest

Day 5: Gadsar to Satsar – The Clustered Silence

• Trek through wildflower valleys and boulder fields

• Reach Satsar Lakes, a cluster of seven interconnected alpine gems

• Camp near one of the lakes

• Optional: Meditation or photography walk

Day 6: Satsar to Gangabal via Zaj Pass (~13,000 ft)

• Cross Zaj Pass with views of Mount Harmukh

• Descend to Gangabal & Nundkol Lakes

• Camp beside Gangabal Lake, ideal for reflection and rest

• Optional: Fishing or lakeside yoga

Day 8: Departure – With Mist in Your Heart

• Breakfast and checkout

• Airport drop with memories of meadows, monsoon, and magic

Day 7: Gangabal to Naranag – Descent into Memory

• Final descent to Naranag village (approx. 12 km / 6 hrs)

• Drive back to Srinagar (2 hrs)

• Farewell dinner and certificate ceremony

• Overnight in Srinagar
